Sandlot Camp Director- Sam Smith
I am a Physical Education and Health teacher at Olentangy local Schools with my Masters in Educational Leadership. This is our 20th year offering Sandlot Camp to the community. I have spent many years coaching Boy's Basketball at Olentangy High School, along with football, soccer and baseball at all levels. It has been amazing to see the growth that can occur during a camp experience. The relationships that kids build with each other, to watch their self-confidence as well as self-esteem grow, is truly amazing. This is a camp that your kids will enjoy and want to be part of. My staff and I look forward to working with your children - offering them an enjoyable and life changing experience.

Anne Marie and I are excited about being a part of the Sandlot community! I have been a physical education teacher, coach, camp director, and administrator in my 25-year career in education. Anne Marie has been an elementary school teacher for several years. When our children were younger, we always looked forward to summers full of outside activities. Anne and I have directed dozens of summer sport camps over the years and believe in the value of kids being active, interacting with others and having fun. We have three children. Katherine and Megan are college students and Grant is a freshman in high school. Our family looks forward to partnering with yours to provide your child with an enjoyable and fun camp experience.

Michael Amborski- Team Coach
Sandlot Sports Camp is a highlight of my summer. I have a Bachelors degree in Physical Education from Bowling Green State University along with a Masters in Educational Leadership from The University of Dayton. During the school year I teach P.E. in the Olentangy district at Freedom Trail Elementary, where my six year old attends, and my wife and I reside in Orange’s community. I have also coach many different athletics within the district at various grade/age levels. The best part about being part of Sandlot is the ability to show kids how impactful sports and physical activity can be on the lives no matter the ability level. The memories created at camp are priceless!

I am a National Board Certified Teacher who has been teaching high school English for the past 21 years. I hold a B.S. from Miami University with a minor in Coaching. I have also earned a M.A. in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also coached for 26 seasons, with experiences ranging from 7th grade to the varsity level: basketball (14 years), golf (4 years), and track & field (4 years). As a longtime educator, father of three daughters, and a member of the Worthington community, my goal is to provide a camp experience where every single child has the same opportunity to excel, learn, and grow that I would want for my own children.
I have been teaching Physical Education and Health for 13 years in Westerville City Schools. I hold a B.S. from Miami University and a M.A. in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University. I have also coached cheerleading and track at the middle and high school levels, as well as run numerous youth clinics and camps. In addition, I teach a family fitness class at Lifetime Fitness in Dublin called "Families on the Move" to help promote an active, healthy lifestyle. I grew up in Worthington, and now I'm excited to give back to my community through this amazing camp!
